(M)SDS MANAGEMENT

A (Material) Safety Data Sheet (M)SDS) is a document that contains information on the potential hazards and how to work safely with a hazardous material. (M)SDSs are prepared by the supplier or manufacturer of the material. Employers must make sure that all hazardous materials have an up-to-date (M)SDS when they enter the workplace. The (M)SDSs must then be readily available to workers and other health and safety representatives who are exposed to the material.

Aegis Company realizes that (M)SDSs are an essential starting point for the development of a complete health and safety program and offers services to obtain, organize, and store these documents, as well as provide options to access and view the information.

We can create paper binders of your (M)SDS or provide you with electronic access to your library.

Our hard-copy library contains a copy of each (M)SDS, as provided by the supplier, numbered and indexed.

If you prefer electronic access to the program, we convert your hard-copy library to PDF files giving access to (M)SDSs through your company's server/network. Employees are able to seach by product name or manufacturer, view and print (M)SDSs. As a backup option, we offer a hard-copy book program to ensure regulatory compliance during power failures or at other times when computer systems are inoperable.

Other available (M)SDS Management Services include the following:

  • Perform invoice inventories and/or physical inventoriesof hazardous substances to determine missing (M)SDSs.
  • (M)SDSs for products no longer used will be transferred to the archived field and will be accessible at any time.
  • Provide on-site employee Hazard Communication (Right-to-Know) Training.
